Tournament Results from Boardlerland games
Hey there everyone Chris here with some quick battle reports of a tournament I went to this weekend at Borderlands in Greenville SC. So this event was 1850 pts and 4 rounds at 2 and a half hour a round, made for a very long but fun day. So let’s start off with my list. I took a Chaos space marine list. It was pretty run of the mill double lash army so nothing to get excited about.

Round 1... FIGHT!
So in round one I went against a Dark Eldar player. He was a really cool guy and I greatly enjoyed playing against him. We had Pitched battle deployment and my hidden objectives were kill the highest point cost non HQ unit which was a wytch squad, Hold the center marker and Keep units in my deployment zone. Here is this list he used.

So we rolled off he won the roll and I felt some impending doom of Dark Eldar with the first turn haha. SO he sets up and I set up bracing for a major beat down of fire power. I make my roll to seize and BAM! I do it thank the dark ruinous gods haha. So the high light of turn one was blasting open the wytch raider and lashing them in front of my full army and nailing them with a dead on hit from the vindicator. So from that point on all I need to do is sit in my deployment zone and hold the center. The game from that point on was rather normal. A lot of shooting a lot of me failing armor saves. But in the end I hold my objectives and scored 33 out of 40 points so I guess that was a win.
Round 2
Round two started and I got paired up against a Space Wolf player. Again another army with more fire power then they need haha. So we roll and he gives me turn one I was rather shocked. So his list I don’t remember exactly but it had 2 rune priests, a lord on a thunder wolf mount. 3 razor backs with grey hunters in them 2 rhinos squads with grey hunters a thunder wolf guy and 2 long fang squads. So this game I had to kill his highest point cost HQ which was the thunderwolf lord of DOOOOMMM!!! Also had to get units into his deployment zone and finally kill his highest cost non HQ unit. This was a grey hunter squad in a rhino. He reserved his HQs and 2 rhino squads. So I start off my moving my princes up and lashing the closest long fang squad and nailed them with the vindy. After that he trashed my poor Vindy but I saw that one coming. From that point on it was a even exchange of fire power my princes got murdered from a thunder wolf lord and one fell to the dreaded Jaws of the world wolf. But in the end I got my objectives and had 36 out of 40 points in game two. GO CHAOS!!
Round 3
Ok now I am riding at the top of the players at this point with my little Chaos force and dreading what horrible nasty list was coming at me next. Sure enough I get paired with a Grey Knight player with mass min maxed units of henchmen. All in all I am not normally one to dislike a player but this was a guy that really rubbed me the wrong way and this was just one of those games you kind of like meh whatever do what you want have fun. So I have his list which has a ton in it so here it is:

So let me start with the reason the game went so south. So we had dawn of war I got first turn and I set up and after that I start bringing on my army. Well I have to roll my oblits to move on and I roll double 1s so as soon as he sees it he jumps up and down and screams THEY ARE DEAD HAHA one heavy support down thanks. And I looked at him and I was like really so I picked up my sheet and marked right away BAD SPORT! SO I said it’s a fraction of an inch off the table not a quarter or half or an 8th just the tip. SO he ran and got the judge and the judge said, "ya he is right" and I told them I know he is right, but I am shocked he is acting like this. But anyways I just wanted the game to end at that point and put everything in front of his army and let him do whatever he wanted. He was shooting through hills and tanks and clearly cheating but I didn’t care. So after a 6 round game that lasted 45 minutes, I walked away and hung out with another guy. So ya I lost to THAT GUY.
Round 4
Ok moving on to round 4 this was against a guy I meet at the recent 11th company tournament. His name was Kirby and he was playing a Scarb Farm Necron list. I am not going to post what’s in it cause that list is all over the internet go look it up haha. Anyways him and I had a great game tons of fun. I lashed his scarbs turn one and killed them and the Stormlord had night fight up the full game and hit my oblits EVERY turn. But ya it was a great game we needed up with a tie but we pretty much killed each other down to a few things. Also Spyders are hard to kill don’t let their low WS fool you.
EPIC Conclusion
Anyways in closing I had a great time I came up middle of the pack which is great for me because Chaos are clearly the underdog army at that event. Also thank you to Boarderland games and Twitch40K over at DakkaDakka for hosting this event.
