Building a better 1850 Chaos list

So Chaos, much like my Tyranids, seem to be on the losing side of things lately, though they have an older book, which seems to lack variety on the surface.  After you make a conscious effort to ignore everything that you've been told by various internet forums and trolls, you can actually look at the book and realize it isn't really as bad as it seems.  With the rumors of a new book right around the corner, I think it might be fun to try and make the most of what Chaos has been stuck with for many years, maybe even winning a few games in the process. Just taking broad strikes, you have a list of well equipped marines, cheap terminators, monstrous creatures and some interesting elite infantry.  Now, I whole heartedly agree that there are units which are just not good, such as Possessed, Noise Marines, etc., but I think you can make a good list, avoiding the bad units.

After talking with my friend Alex, who has been posting the Chaos Tactics threads here lately, I've decided that I would try and make a list which would stick it to the tougher armies out there.  Here is the list I came up with:

Daemon Prince: Mark of Nurgle, Wings, Warp Time Daemon Prince: Mark of Nurgle, Wings, Warp Time Summoned Greater Daemon

5 Chaos Terminators: 5x Combi-melta, 1x Chainfist, 2x Terminator Champions

5 Plague marines: 2 Plasma guns, Icon Bearer, Champion with Power Fist, in Rhino 5 Plague marines: 2 Plasma guns, Icon Bearer, Champion with Power Fist, in Rhino 5 Plague marines: 2 Meltaguns, Champion with Power Fist, in Rhino with Combi-melta 5 Plague marines: 2 Meltaguns, Champion with Power Fist, in Rhino with Combi-melta

Chaos Vindicator: Daemonic Possession, twin-linked Bolter Chaos Vindicator: Daemonic Possession, twin-linked Bolter

Total: 1850

It's a pretty straight forward army, you hold objectives with Plague Marines camping in the relative safety of their transports, while the Daemon Princes, Greater Daemon and Terminators do the heavy lifting.  With 2 champions in the Terminators, you should have one cheap one and one with the fist, the cheaper one is just summoning fodder for the Greater Daemon.  This list may run into some issues against the Paladin deathstar, but honestly, what doesn't.  Your best chance against Draigowing would be to avoid combat with the big unit of Paladins, while scoring KP from knocking out their other vehicles and Dreadnoughts with your multiple monstrous creatures.

Overall, I think people shouldn't be that afraid to dust off their chaos armies and give them a whirl, at the very least, it will make you appreciate a new book that much more!
